Yesterday marked the last major publisher hosting its E3 presentation. As always, this slot was taken by Nintendo which, admittedly, saved the whole show with tons of awesome news for Nintendo Switch gamers. In 40 minute-long presentation, Doug Bowser, the new president of Nintendo of America revealed a bunch of awesome games. To make your life easier we’ve compiled a list with the most interesting reveals of the show. The full recording of Nintendo Direct for E3 can be found below.
1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
To everyone’s surprise, Nintendo has released a short teaser trailer which is called ‘Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’. The trailer features Link and Zelda exploring a dungeon together which might mean that the sequel will feature some sort of co-op mode. We can’t say it for sure but a man can dream…
2. Luigi’s Mansion 3
The ability to play through the game with co-op partner will be included to Luigi’s Mansion 3. During the Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed a lengthy gameplay trailer which features a lot of features coming to the game. One such feature allows another player to join the play session with a character called ‘Gooigi’ – of course, it’s made of goo.
3. The Dark Crystal
In light of news that Netflix is reviving Jim Henson’s puppet fantasy series The Dark Crystal, there’s a new game coming as well. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is looking like a solid isometric strategy game themed around the critters of the Dark Crystal universe. While we’ve only got a trailer with no specific launch date we might expect the game to debut around the same time as the Netflix show which is slated for 2019.
4. Trails of Mana
The mana series was around for a while. However, 1995’s Seiken Densetsu 3, the follow-up to the legendary action RPG Secret of Mana, was never released outside Japan. Well, until now. Nintendo has announced the game as a part of the new Collection of Mana which includes the first three games – Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, and the third game Trials of Mana for its English-language debut. Furthermore, the third game will feature a 3D remake instead of 2D pixel art. It’s coming to the console in 2020.
5. The Witcher 3
Rejoice! The Witcher 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime later this year. Nintendo’s version is called The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition and should include all DLC content released previously. However, we have some doubts about how this graphic marvel will run on Nintendo Switch, though being able to take this game to a trip is like a dream come true. We might be willing to forgive minor graphics downgrade after all…
While these 5 reveals seemed like the most important ones for us, there is a lot more news worth looking into. We highly recommend you take your time and watch through the full Nintendo Direct presentation, featuring more news on Smash Ultimate DLC fighters, Animal Crossing, No More Heroes 3, and a whole bunch of third-party games.
