Back in March, we posted an article regarding the new Amnesia: Rebirth game being developed for PC and PlayStation 4. We pledged to share more details about the project as soon as we have some. While the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t help developers to get the game out fast, it’s finally here. Frictional Games said that Amnesia: Rebirth will launch on October 20th, 10 days before Halloween.
According to the announcement, Amnesia: Rebirth will be a harrowing journey through desolation and despair. The developers are saying that their game will be exploring the limits of human resilience. This, of course, is nothing new to the fans of the series who already know what can be expected from an Amnesia game.
Amnesia: Rebirth is the first new Amnesia title in 10 years. Amnesia: The Dark Descent was released back in 2010 and later was kept alive with numerous DLCs.
If you’ve never played Amnesia before, you should know that it’s probably one of the scariest games you can find. We’ve added it to our list of the best horror games and recommendations list for Halloween back in 2019. Seems like this year we’ll have another Amnesia to add to our list of recommended games.
The game will be released on PC – you will be able to get it on Steam, GOG, and Epic Game Store. PS4 owners can also start pre-ordering the game from PlayStation Store. One thing though – Amnesia: Rebirth most likely won’t have a PlayStation 5 version.
In any case, it’s nice to see our beloved horror game getting a sequel. If you wish to experience Amnesia before the sequel launches, be sure to check out our prices for previous titles. You can find some offers below.
