A few months have passed since the release of Borderlands 3 game and it’s about time we got something new added to the game. Yesterday, Gearbox revealed the first Borderlands DLC titled Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. The said expansion will bring new story content, new enemies and new guns.

The first story expansion pack, Borderlands 3: Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, will be related to our beloved Borderlands 2 antagonist Handsome Jack. You will be brought to Opportunity, a city of Jack’s own making. And you’ll also have to help Mad Moxxi to break into Handsome Jack’s Casino, battling through Hyperion security forces and crazed casino-goers.
Casino’s heist will be your main objective in this DLC, however, as any Borderlands expansion, the new content batch will give plenty of side missions and challenges. You will encounter various new enemies and bosses and will be able to earn sweet new cosmetics, customization items and weapons along the way.
Gearbox is also adding a few new types of play with Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot – Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite and Mayhem 4. Takedown will be a new raid-style challenge for co-op groups, while Mayhem 4 will add a certain twist to an old Mayhem system by removing player penalties and instead – applying two random modifiers for your Vault Hunter.
Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot sounds like a lot of fun. The expansion will surely bring hours of new activities, so be sure to check it out when it launches. The release for the DLC is now scheduled for December 19 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, if you want to participate in the heist you’ll first need to complete the Borderlands 3’s core campaign.
