Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be big… Literally. As noted by some fans, the official listing for the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare details that in order to install the game on PC players will need more than 175 GB of free space in their hard drive. As far as we can remember this is about to set a new record for the biggest PC game, considering the space required.

Until now, the title was held by Final Fantasy XV, which required at least 148 GB of space. In addition, Rockstar Games just announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC will weigh 150 GB. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare surpassed both of these games by quite a large margin, so naturally we can expect that the new game will have… well, a lot of game in it. Not so long ago we’ve shared a leak about a very long list of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s maps, so seeing the download size gives us a valid reason to trust the information we received.

We should also point out that 175 GB doesn’t include any of the future DLC content and a 1-year PlayStation 4 exclusive mode called Spec Ops, so within a year the size of the game on your PC hard drive might be near 200 GB. Crazy!
