We’re only days away until Resident Evil 2 Remake will be playable in its full glory. We’ve already reported the mind-boggling one-shot demo player numbers. Having this in mind, Capcom has designed a plan to keep players engaged for quite some time and revealed their plans about the first post-launch DLC, which will be free for everyone who have purchased the game.
While the upcoming future may hold many more DLCs (paid and free), the first one titled Ghost Survivors will include retro Leon and Claire characters. In addition, the first DLC will feature a new game mode called Ghost Survivors. According to the report, Ghost Survivors will allow players to explore the story of three other characters who are yet to be revealed.
For now, there is still little detail about the first DLC and its release date. The only definite thing we know is that Ghost Survivors will most probably feature playable randomized scenarios separate from its original story. Lack of detail about the DLC is not surprising considering that Capcom is focused on a game launch, which is considered to be the first huge game release of 2019. If the game holds up after the launch, it’s likely to receive many more content additions in the future.
We have our fingers crossed. Resident Evil 2 Remake will kick off on January 25th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
