Last week Firaxis has announced that their popular turn-based grand strategy game Civilization VI will make its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game already had a console port dedicated to Nintendo Switch but on November 22nd, the rest of the console gamers will get a chance to experience one of the best strategy games of all time.
Civilization VI launched on PC back in 2016 and received huge praise from gamers and game critics. While it wasn’t anything groundbreaking, it was a nice overhaul of the core Civilization mechanics which made the game to the best version of Civilization. Last year, the game debuted on Nintendo Switch with a couple of changes suitable for the console control scheme, so the next logical step was to bring the title to the rest of the console community.
According to the announcement, Civilization VI on consoles will be released alongside an expansion bundle which will contain Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm expansions. Players will be able to buy them separately on each console. It’s also worth mentioning that PlayStation 4 players will get a minuscule portion of exclusive content which will contain Nubia, Khmer and Indonesia.
So mark your calendars for November 22nd, top up your PlayStation and Xbox One wallets and stay patient. Soon, everyone will be able to enjoy the big daddy of strategy.
