There’s no denying that Control became one of the best games of 2019. While the community was split towards it, numerous nominations and awards, praise from critics and other game developers cemented Control as one of the most innovative game titles of the year. And the game is getting bigger – we recently shared some news about Control’s roadmap in 2020. Now we have some details about the first DLC of the game called The Foundation.
While the new trailer looks gorgeous, it might leave Xbox gamers sad. The trailer features a bunch of awesome content which will become a limited-time exclusive on PlayStation 4 and PC. These players will get their hands on The Foundation starting March 26th, while Xbox One gamers will have to wait 3 months longer – The Foundation is scheduled for June 25th on Microsoft’s console.
The Foundation DLC will continue the story of the original game. The trailer description states:
“In The Foundation, the Astral Plane is colliding with our reality. Jesse Faden, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, must travel through the caverns of the Foundation to prevent the Astral Plane from consuming the Oldest House. The missing Head of Operations, Helen Marshall, may hold some answers to the mysteries surrounding this threat. As she travels deeper, Jesse will learn more about Marshall’s disappearance, and about the enigmatic Board.”
In addition to all of the new stories, The Foundation will also bring tons of other updates. According to Remedy Entertainment, this update will also tackle bugs, will tweak gameplay and improve the overall performance.
