Crash Bandicoot will be back very soon. The new game titled Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is set to be released on October 2nd on PC and current generation consoles. However, prior to this date, you will be able to enjoy a short demo version. It will be released on September 16th and will only be available to players who pre-ordered the game. A bit weird, huh?
Usually, demo versions of the upcoming games are free and designed as a teaser for everyone who is thinking about purchasing it and wanting to try it before that. However, with Crash 4 this won’t be the case. At first, you have to buy it and you’ll get a chance to test it out. Seems similar to some weird spin of Early Access rules, don’t you think?
In any case, we’re not here to judge – we’re just reporting things. There might be a plan to release this demo for free after the game launches, but nothing is for certain. The developers state that demo availability is subject to change, so we have our fingers crossed.
If you’re interested to know what you will get to play in a Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time demo, read on. Apparently, the demo version will include two whole game levels that have already been shown by the developers – Snow Way Out and Dino Dash. You check these out in this new trailer:
The new trailer also reveals a new character coming to Crash Bandicoot 4. Tawna will be a familiar face (?) for the series fans who excel at climbing seemingly impossible obstacles. Tawna players will be able to perform wall jumps and use a special grappling hook that can be used to navigate certain levels faster.
Interested? You still have some time to catch up and play through the original trilogy while waiting for the next chapter.
