A lot of time has passed since the original release of the first Crash Bandicoot game. The game received a few sequels and even its own racing game. It’s about time to continue this epic saga with a new game from Toys for Bob who recently worked on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
According to the announcement, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be released on October 2nd on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will tell an entirely new story that will pick up after the events of Crash Bandicoot: Warped – the third game in the original trilogy. While there were more games after the third installment, the developers chose to ignore them and continue from where the previous developers from Naughty Dog left off.

The official description states that the new game will bring a lot of fresh things including new abilities, more playable characters, and an option to travel across alternate dimensions. This should give developers the freedom to create a truly unique game that hopefully lives up to the quality of the original trilogy.
Of course, releasing a new game so close to the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X fills us with hope. We would also love to play this new title on the next generation hardware, however, Toys for Bob currently has no news about this. But we’re hopeful… It would be weird to miss out on such an opportunity.
