Fans of fighting games know Dead or Alive series by heart. For quite some time Team Ninja was working on the new game in the series Dead or Alive 6, which was supposed to be released on February 15. However, a recent tweet by Koei Tecmo announced that fans of the series will have to arm themselves with patience.

Dead or Alive 6 will see a two-week delay in order to “further balance and polish” the game. The new launch date has been changed to the 1st of March. To be honest, it’s hard to believe that 2 more weeks will make a significant change in balance and overall quality of the game. A more believable scenario is that Koei Tecmo wants to avoid competition which will be fierce in mid-February. During that time titles like Far Cry New Dawn, Anthem, Metro Exodus and many more will be competing for gamer’s attention, so waiting a couple of weeks more for the hype to wear-off seems like a smart move.

While Dead or Alive fans might not be happy about this move, there were rumors about the game’s beta test turning up ahead of launch. However, it’s yet to be confirmed. Dead or Alive 6 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
