Today is the day when Fortnite’s annual Halloween celebration starts. A special in-game event called Fortnitemares 2019 will run from today until Tuesday, November 4th, so if you want those sweet Halloween-themed rewards, be sure to check it out.
If you’re new to Fortnite, you should know that Fortnitemares is yet another annual Fortnite event that allows players to earn a ton of cool Halloween-themed cosmetics through playing some games. However, during the event, the games will differ from those you are used to.
Last year, Fortnitemares featured a list of special challenges that tasked players with eliminating the Elite Cube Monsters which appeared during the event, opening chests, eliminating opponents in specific map areas and so on. We have a reason to suspect that similar challenges will be present this year around too.
In addition, we’re expecting a new limited-time game mode since Epic Games were teasing a picture on their Twitter account. The teaser text says “Face your fears.”
This led to widespread speculation about the new zombie horde mode. We’ll know what it is after the event starts. Truth be told, after what Epic Games did with the end of Fornite Season 10’s end, nothing would qualify as truly unexpected. But you never know…
