Just a few days ago we shared a list of free Xbox Live Gold games in June, but now it’s time to have a look at what PlayStation Plus subscribers will get in the upcoming month. Seems like we are getting some juicy releases to enjoy: Star Wars: Squadrons, Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, and Operation: Tango. Star Wars: Squadrons (PS4)
EA’s Star Wars: Squadrons (in-store price from 20€) game bestows the players with an opportunity to participate in multiplayer dogfights set in a galaxy far, far away. This first-person multiplayer debuted no less than a year ago, so seeing it on the list of June’s free PS Plus games is a pleasant surprise. Star Wars: Squadrons realizes the piloting dream of hardcore SW fans and a grand entrance into the franchise for those that never participated in any of the SW games or are not familiar with the series.
Either way, if you want to participate in an outstanding first-person multiplayer space escapade, you can do it for free on your PS4 this June. However, we must warn you… Choose carefully for whose cause you wage these intergalactic wars.
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (PS4)
Sega’s fighting series Virtua Fighter deserves far more recognition than it does and we salute Sony for adding Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown (PS Store price 30€) to the list of June’s free games. With the roster of 20 playable characters of different designs and move sets, the game provides a frenzied fighting experience for those that enjoy a fine rush of adrenaline.
The latest update enhanced the game’s visuals, so gamers can enjoy a pleasant 3D experience with improved animations and sequences, improving the classic title by a great margin. Therefore, if you are an avid fan of fighting games and have missed out on the Virtua Fighter series, that’s your chance to try one of the classic iterations in the fighting genre history.
Operation: Tango (PS5)
Another gem in the PS Plus June free games list is the Clever Plays’ Operation: Tango (Price TBA) available to download on PlayStation 5 for PS Plus subscribers. Operation: Tango is an espionage-themed cooperative adventure game played by two and the good news is that one player can play the game entirely for free if it’s owned by the other. Cool, huh?
One of you plays as the infiltrator and the other takes the role of a hacker that helps them along the way, so believe us, communication is the key to successful missions here. Hi-tech tools, puzzle-solving, and challenges are all guaranteed (some hilarious fails, too), so don’t hesitate to add this game to your library this June.
