August is here and that means more free games for PlayStation Plus service subscribers. Last month, PlayStation fans got a chance to download Horizon, Chase Turbo, and Detroit: Become Human. Fans may recall that during July, Detroit: Become Human was swapped with PES 19 at the very last minute, so many have hoped for its return in August. However, it’s not the case. PS Plus games for August 2019 are Wipeout: Omega Collection and Sniper Elite 4.
Wipeout: Omega Collection
Wipeout: Omega Collection is a remaster of the previous two titles in the Wipeout series: Wipeout HD (with its Wipeout HD Fury expansion) and Wipeout 2048. If you’ve never played it, you should know that it’s a futuristic racing video game where the player assumes control of anti-gravity ships armed with shields and guns. Game critics praised Wipeout: Omega Collection as one of the best remasters for PS4, so if you’re into racing be sure to grab this game before the time runs out.
Sniper Elite 4
Sniper Elite 4 is the most recent title in the Sniper Elite series developed by Rebellion Developments. It’s a third-person tactical shooter game featuring stealth elements which should impress players who are looking for a game which involves a lot of planning before the shootout. In addition to a cool single-player story campaign, Sniper Elite 4 also features online co-op mode, so players can team up or compete in up to 12-player multiplayer games.
Both of these games are coming to PlayStation Plus for free on August 6th. Until then, you still have time to snag your free copies of Horizon, Chase Turbo, and Detroit: Become Human.
