The 19th annual Game Developers Choice Awards were held on the 20th of March, providing a yet another take on the best games released during the year of 2018! It proved to be an exciting night that was capped off with the crowning of the new GDC Game of the Year! As in most other award shows to date, God of War took home the crown, cementing its place as the King of last year!
This magnificent creation by Sony Santa Monica and Sony Interactive Entertainment has proven itself to be the best overall game from last years in the eyes of the critics! However, that wasn’t the only award that was given out that night! Both Florence developed by Mountains and Beat Saber by Beat Games earned two awards a piece, with God of War, Celeste, Red Dead Redemption 2 and many others taking down rewards of their own! Best VR/AR Game – Beat Saber by Beat Games
Audience Award – Beat Saber by Beat Games
