Blizzard has finally confirmed that its annual Halloween-themed event called Halloween Terror will return to Overwatch this week. From October 13th until November 3rd players of Overwatch will be able to participate in various fun in-game activities in order to earn some new (and old) cosmetic rewards.
This year, Halloween Terror feels a bit stale. Once again during this period players will be able to play in a special Halloween mode called Junkenstein’s Revenge where a 4-player party fights against enemy waves in the increasing difficulty. No new twists, just a bunch of new cosmetics.
The trailer features some new themed skins for Brigitte, Sombra, D.Va, and Echo. In addition, Overwatch loot boxes will contain some old Halloween Terror skins from previous years that were unobtainable for a whole year. It’s also worth mentioning that all the cosmetics from the past will feature a special Overwatch credit discount for the time of the event.
So if you have some desired Overwatch goods you wanted to add to your collection previously, be sure to play some Overwatch during the upcoming month. Rumor has it that it’s the last Halloween Terror event before Overwatch 2 goes live.
