In case you didn’t know, Ubisoft recently released their own take on battle royale games. Hyper Scape is a free-to-play battle royale title that recently kicked off an open beta test on PC. Apparently, the beta test is going as planned since developers said that it will conclude on August 2nd with a full launch set for August 11th. But that’s not all – in addition to PC launch, Hyper Scape will also debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game will kick off with Season 1 called The First Principle, which will bring a new weapon called Dragonfly, a new hack (that’s how abilities are called in Hyper Scape) named Magnet and some limited-time game modes. It will also feature a Battle Pass with over 100 rewards. It’s also worth mentioning that those players who participated in the open beta will be able to keep their already unlocked items.
Another noteworthy thing is that Hyper Scape will feature a cross-progression feature. This means that everything you earned on PC will be available on your console account too. However, there is no news about cross-play but we’re hopeful this will come as well. It’s Ubisoft, after all…
Anyway, it seems like Apex Legends, Fortnite, and others will have to step up in order to keep their status. Ubisoft is a big company and their take on Battle Royale can mix some things up. If you want to try this game prior to its launch, be sure to visit the official page to get started.
