Konami decided to surprise its fanbase with a random new game reveal. The game is called CrimeSight and takes place in the futuristic city of London and is said to be a competitive mystery. The reveal took fans by surprise since the company cancelled the new release of the globally famous Silent Hill series a few years ago. Well, by no means are we complaining, though!
For those who are not familiar, Konami is an established gaming studio that’s behind popular game franchises like Silent Hill, Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and other singular releases like Yu-Gi-Oh! games. Now, we are waiting for another new release from Konami, so let’s see what we know so far.
The announcement trailer provides a glimpse into the CrimeSight gameplay which is inspired by tabletop games that deal with suspicion and mysteries. Seemingly, this brand-new social deduction game deals with murder in the “foreseen future”. While one player sets up the murder conditions for an engaging investigation process, the other player utilizes these conditions to try to locate clues or piece together which player is attempting to commit the crime.
It is interesting that Konami decided to create a competitive social deduction game, nonetheless, so far the gameplay seems intriguing, and, knowing Konami, it will likely be an immersive experience. The great news is that if you’re interested in the game and want to try it out beforehand, Konami is looking for participants to test the closed beta.
If you are not familiar with the releases from Konami, we urge you to try out the most notable games from the creator, all housed in the Konami Games collection!
