May is near and that means that Xbox is switching up its free games list for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Project Cars 2, Knights of Pen and Paper Bundle, Toy Box Turbos, and Fable: Anniversary is being replaced by V-Rally 4, Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr, Sensible World of Soccer, and Overlord 2.

V-Rally 4

V-Rally 4 is a fairly generic rally game so you might guess what can be expected from this title – five different types of races, 51 different vehicles, and a lot of varied race tracks from across the globe. The game was developed by Kylotonn, a game development studio based in France. If you’re an avid rally fan you might know their name because they also worked on 2017s WRC entry. V-Rally 4 will be available to download for free fro May 1st, until May 31st.

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr

Warhammer’s fictional universe is vast and there are a lot of games set in it. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is a title unlike majority Warhammer games, that was received fairly positive by the fans. It even got a DLC called Prophecy at a later date. While most Warhammer 40,000 games are about strategy, Inquisitor Martyr is a Diablo-like action RPG that can be played solo or in co-op. Sounds like your type of game? Be sure to grab it as soon as it becomes available – from May 16th until June 15th.

Sensible World of Soccer

For those who wish to experience some retro vibes and remember what it’s like to enjoy a quality sports match, the Xbox Live Gold team serves the iconic Sensible World of Soccer. It is a game that was originally released back in 1994 and received a port to Xbox 360 in 2007. Now you can also play this oldie on your Xbox One console thanks to backward compatibility. The game will be available for free form May 1st until May 15th.

Overlord 2

Want to play as a villain? Then look no further than Overlord 2. It’s an action RPG game where the player assumes control over a mysterious warrior whose goal is to destroy or conquer the land by commanding hordes of small creatures known as “Minions”. The game is filled with satire and dark humor so it should be a real treat in these “dark times”. You will be able to download the game from May 16th until May 31st.
