In a surprise announcement, Capcom has dropped a new trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, which reveals yet another crossover event for the game. This time, the crossover brings some unexpected guests to the Monster Hunter World – Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2.
For a limited time, players who purchased Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion will get a chance to collect some awesome looking Resident Evil themed cosmetics for their hunters. As you might’ve guessed, by doing tasks in the game you will be able to earn Leon’s and Clair’s skins. The trailer also reveals that some players will be able to unlock Mr. X’s skin for the Handler.
The new crossover trailer also features some zombies, these will supposedly play some kind of role in a new crossover event. We’d say that it’s a great way to celebrate Halloween in a game, but we can’t… According to Capcom, the event will begin sometime in November, which is a bit late for the occasion.
In any case, fans of Monster Hunter World still have something to look forward to. Before the crossover with Resident Evil 2, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will get a free update this Thursday! It will bring a brand new area and a new monster to hunt. However, in order to check it out, players will have to first complete the main story quests of the Iceborne expansion.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is now released for consoles and should make its way to PC in early 2020.
