More than a decade has passed since the original release of the very first Mount & Blade game. The game became super popular among action RPG fans and to this day is still one of our top-sellers. We even wrote an opinion piece about its sequel (which is actually a prequel) Mount & Blade: Warband in which we noted – it’s legendary. However, this might change soon enough since another sequel is coming. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is coming to Early Access on March 31st.
The game was first announced back in 2016 but, according to TaleWorlds, was in development since 2012. Back then the developers showed a couple of gameplay videos, so everyone expected the game to come out soon after. However, TaleWorlds decided to postpone the release and tweak the game some more. Some say, the game wasn’t legendary back then and developers needed some additional time to make it presentable.
And, boy, they did their job. The latest game trailers show an entirely different game featuring better visuals, more realistic animations and so on. According to the developers, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord also improved a lot of gameplay details. It will feature more strategic gameplay which should set this game apart from its predecessors.
If you’re interested in this game, you should know that Early Access might cost you a pretty penny since TaleWorlds are launching it without any discounts… At least for now. The game will be available for purchase through Steam, Epic Games Store, and TaleWorlds website, for $49.99/€49.99/£39.99 – the price you’ll need to pay will depend on a region you’re on. However, as always, we’ll try to find some bargains and hope to present you with a cheaper option to get Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord in the future. While you wait, we suggest you check out our awesome prices for previous games and DLCs.
