Hello and welcome! We’ve already written about some of the upcoming new Xbox One games, however, there’re plenty more captivating titles arriving in the not so far future. The following five simply must be on your radar and we’re here to introduce them for you – the player. It’s worth noting that none of the five titles discussed in this article are Xbox One exclusives, though rocking them on your Xbox One is going to be a blast!
Our today’s focus is on the games of tomorrow, those that present worlds much more technologically advanced than the one of our own. Space travel, physics-bending weapons, bio-enhancements, and Nanotech are just beginning to shape our future, and these five captivating new Xbox One games present astonishing scenarios on where this may lead us to… someday. So, here are the five upcoming sci-fi shooters which you simply must tick on your to-buy list!
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
When it comes to Star War releases, players are often cautious to predict what will be brought into the daylight, however, with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it seems like we’re getting a narrative-oriented single-player experience with an intent to knock you out of your shoes. The newest EA’s and Respawn’s creation promise exceptional writing, complemented with some worth-to-admire acting by Cameron Monaghan, and of course unprecedented Lightsaber action.
New Xbox One games on this list are simply mind-boggling, even if we still know very little about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. What we know for sure, is that title brings all the best that the Empire can offer – Storm Troopers, Purge Troopers, Inquisitors, and even the fallen Jedi will be on your enemy list! The game will focus on the single-player storyline and this means that the developer wants to capitalize on the aspect which really matters for the majority of Star Wars fans: being able to immerse in the Star Wars universe and experience it on your own terms.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is scheduled to release on November 15, 2019.
Beyond Good & Evil 2
New Xbox One games featured here, have quite a few similarities between one another, living in a futuristic, technologically advanced dystopian scenario is one of them. Beyond Good & Evil 2 presents a vast star system which you can traverse with seamless ease, whether you’re on foot, on a floating vehicle, or in space! Your controllable protagonist is a renegade space-pirate captain, and every captain needs a crew! Recruiting talents hidden in this realm will play a major part throughout your gameplay!
Create your own adventure, traverse massive biomes, discover never-before-seen challenges, and experience ultimate rewards – that’s what new Xbox One games/sci-fi shooters are all about! This title will be playable both solo and co-op, thus exploring an array of star systems will never get bothersome. Get acquainted with some friends and the whole experience will sky-rocket! Vastly detailed environments, customizable rides, an insurmountable amount of exploration, and tons of adventures are just a few things that Beyond Good & Evil 2 promises – and we believe it.
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is launching sometime in late 2019.
Borderlands 3
Yes, Borderlands 3 is official, and if you weren’t living under a rock these past few months, you should be well aware of it! New Xbox One games, especially the five sci-fi shooters presented in this article, have one feature that every gamer alike loves – weapons. And, of course, 17 million weapons in Borderlands 2 was just a test for further Gearbox Software’s plans. The upcoming sequel boasts 1 billion weapons, and as far as we can tell – these are not just empty talks!
The third game in the main series returns with the same cel-shaded art style we’ve all grown to love, along with multiple traversable planets, and an entirely new crew of Vault Hunters ready for action. New Xbox One games will captivate audiences worldwide with their mechanical precision, ingenuity, vastness, and top-notch quality. Borderlands 3 is without a doubt one of the most awaited releases this year, and we know for sure that we’re going to rock every single weapon the game will offer. EVERY SINGLE ONE!
Borderlands 3 official release date is September 13, 2019.
Cyberpunk 2077
New Xbox One games, or at least, the newest sci-fi shooters aim to leave you breathless, and if this CD Projekt Red’s title will manage to deliver everything that they say it will – we all will be grasping for air, or rather, we all will be grasping for Cyberpunk 2077. And even though this all-out sci-fi shooter experience won’t be playable at E3 2019, we can’t wait for more coverage on the title. From what we’ve seen so far – it’s going to deliver a mind-blowing, single-player, story-driven experience unlike any.
Despite, all the new Xbox One games announced, Cyberpunk 2077 is by far the most awaited title on the scene. Open-world environments, tons of options for customizations, an array of open-ended missions with numerous outcomes for both the player and the inhabitants of the ever-changing environment – does it remind you of something? Same as in the Witcher 3, the game will lead players to experience vastly unique scenarios, and a whole range of experiences differing from person to person. Wholeheartedly, we can barely hold our excitement, and you should too.
Cyberpunk 2077 has no release date as of now. We hope for late 2019, though it might slip into 2020.
The Outer Worlds
We’ll end our new Xbox One games list with The Outer Worlds, another sci-fi shooter, that was inspired by Fallout: New Vegas. Even though you’ll be able to shoot plenty in this one, the title is much more RPG-centred, compared to some of the previously featured pieces. However, since it looks like a shooter – it needs to be played like a shooter! The game will also incorporate a gameplay element similar to the Beyond Good & Evil 2 as you’ll also have the ability to recruit a team – in this case, companions.
The Outer Worlds boast with tactical combat elements, so such mechanics as being able to slow time should come as no surprise. In fact, out of these five new Xbox One games on the list; being able to slow time isn’t that uncommon! You’ll also receive numerous benefits by targeting at specific body parts or figuring out ways on how to use the surrounding setting for your advantage. Your in-game weapon arsenal will be highly customizable and, of course, as vast as the sea – just not as vast as Borderlands 3.
The Outer Worlds still has no confirmed release date; however, we expect it to hit the screens sometime late 2019.
