If you’re one of the owners of Nintendo Switch you probably know what Nintendo Labo is. In case you don’t, it’s basically a collection of games which interacts with special toys made from cardboard. Previous Nintendo Labo line toys included things like piano, house, fishing rod, motorcycle wheel, and plenty more of the cool stuff. Check out the video for some additional clarity:
Last week, Nintendo has announced the newest addition to the Nintendo Labo line – a cardboard construction for virtual reality. The new Nintendo Labo: VR Kit will be made available for purchase on 12th of April.
At first glance, the Nintendo Labo: VR kit is really similar to a well-known Google Cardboard. However, Nintendo’s creation has a variety of different construction sets which will accommodate different VR experiences including Toy-Con Camera, Toy-Con Wind Pedal, Toy-Con Elephant, Toy-Con Blaster, and Toy-Con bird.
While Nintendo Labo is called an experimental product by many, Nintendo is proving that there certainly is a demand for it. So far there are three Nintendo Labo Kits released: Variety Kit, Robot Kit, and Vehicle Kit. VR Kit will be the latest addition to the collection and will be sold separately.
