If you’ve been wondering how many players are playing on Nintendo Switch, we have some new information to share. During the 79th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, Nintendo of Japan president Shuntaro Furukawa stated that “the number of subscribers for Nintendo Switch Online has increased steadily since the service was launched last September, and it has now surpassed 10 million accounts.”
This is a very big number that the service managed to hit in less than a year. While the service is still lacking some features which are included into PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold, it has many other advantages to its counterparts. First, Nintendo Switch Online subscription is very cheap. Second, it has many awesome promotions such as Game Vouchers or the ability to play classic NES games from its ever-growing library. And that’s only the beginning…
Shuntaro Furukawa said that the company wants to keep growing the community of Nintendo Switch Online users by giving them even more value for their money.
“We recognize that making the Nintendo Switch Online service attractive to users is extremely important, and will continue to make the content of the service even more appealing going forward.”
Currently, you can pick up 12 months Nintendo Switch Online gift card for less than 20 euros on Eneba. If that’s not a great value, we don’t know what is.
