Hello Games has released a short teaser about their future plans regarding the extra-terrestrial space odyssey also known as No Man’s Sky. The developer has prepared quite a chapter to its loyal fans which is due to release this summer, entirely for free!
The Beyond update is the follow-up to the last year’s No Man’s Sky NEXT update, which already incorporated the very first elements to multiplayer adventures. According to Hello Games’ Managing Director Sean Murray, the ‘’Beyond’’ update consists of three parts and is regarded as ‘’most ambitious chapter so far.’’ However, so far, the company can only reveal details regarding the first Beyond segment – No Man’s Sky Online!
Hello Games states ‘’the first part of the update includes a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.” Just by this sentence alone, your mind might instantly envision the MMO abbreviation, though the developer further explains “We don’t consider No Man’s Sky to be an MMO — it won’t require a subscription, won’t contain microtransactions, and will be free for all existing players.”
As for the remaining two elements to the upcoming No Man’s Sky Beyond update, the developer remains concrete and precise and promises to reveal more detail on the upcoming content in the following weeks “will talk more about each of the three major components… when we know we can be precise”.
It looks like Hello Games has truly learned from their mistakes. Not only did their game has travelled lightyears since its initial release in terms of content and quality, but also the developers themselves are now more careful about their content promotion choices and expectation management. These are some quality news for every No Man’s Sky fan alike, and if you’re still thinking on whether the game is worth to get into, now, seems like the right time to make your decision.
