The popular anime series, One Punch Man, will get its first ever console game. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a new fighting game for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Currently, the game has no release date, but the announcement trailer states that it should come out fairly soon.
From what we’ve gathered, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is a 3 vs 3 fighting game featuring familiar characters from the original anime. You will be able to play as Saitama, Genos, Hellish Blizzard, Speed-o’-Sound Sonic, Mumen Rider and more.
The trailer features 1 vs 1 fights, so we can only speculate that the gameplay might revolve around tag-based fights. It’s also worth noting that the game might pose a balancing challenge. The main character Saitama is known to destroy any foe in a single punch so it will be interesting to see how it will play out.
We also need to mention the in-game language choices, or rather, the lack of them. According to the news, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will only have Japanese audio with no option to select English dub. While it will likely please original anime fans, it might be weird for new players.
The new game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft. The studio is known for their other fighting games such as Jump Force and One Piece: Burning Blood. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is published by Bandai Namco.
