It’s hard to believe that Overwatch is already 3-years old. The game was released on 24th of may in 2016, for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. To help fans celebrate the occasion, Blizzard is running the third Overwatch Anniversary event, starting on May 21st.
Similar to last year, Blizzard once again is giving everyone a chance to experience the game – the developer is kicking off with a week-long free trial. Additionally, players will be able to earn special Anniversary loot boxes full of special items suitable for the occasion.
Along with the goodies from last year, Blizzard added some fresh new cosmetic items to earn. According to the information provided by Blizzard, Overwatch Anniversary loot boxes will contain six new Legendary skins and three new Epic ones. And that’s not all, players will get tones of new emotes, highlight intros and more.
If you’re a collector of cosmetics, you’ll be pleased to know that during the Anniversary week all previous seasonal game modes, brawls, and events, including all the respected cosmetics they offer, will also be accessible for everyone and anyone willing to participate. A true celebration!
