Every year, Blizzard is hosting plenty of in-game events across all of their games. Overwatch has a summer tradition to kick off a limited-time Overwatch Summer Games event giving away some cool skins and introducing a few new game modes. This summer is no exception – Overwatch Summer Games 2020 is starting right now and you can pick up some sweet rewards while enjoying the game with the rest of the community.
Overwatch Summer Games 2020 comes with a familiar Lucioball game mode which will remind some players of Rocket League. Essentially, it is a mode where you play Overwatch’s version of football in a 3 vs. 3 match where each player is playing as Lucio. Last time around this mode event had a ranked ladder, so we hope it will return this time around.
As always there are some old and new rewards for leveling up. During the event, players will be able to earn special Summer Games loot boxes and receive some cosmetic goods from previous events as well as some new ones that are being added this year. Overwatch Twitter account already shared two new legendary skins for Echo and Phara.
