Riot Games, the developer of League of Legends, recently unveiled that the studio is currently working on a few new game projects that should be released in the future. However, the new press release from the company indicates that these new games will only mark the beginning of a new era. Today, Riot Games has unveiled its new publishing label titled Riot Forge.
According to the news, Riot Forge will be a new company unit that will be working with various other third-party game development studios in order to create more new titles based on the popular League of Legends universe. The statement also states that these new games won’t be just for PC and will spawn across multiple platforms and gaming genres.
From what we gather, Riot Forge will serve as a publishing brand for these new games as some smaller teams will be able to apply and suggest new game ideas to further expand League of Legends’ IP. Some of these games and studios might be revealed next week as The Game Awards Twitter account shared a tease about the upcoming world premiere.
If you want to learn more about this new publishing unit, be sure to hop on the official page where you can read a bit more about it. However, we do hope to get some in-depth details in the upcoming TGA show on December 12th.
