Whatever your stance regarding the new Star Wars game might be, there’s no denying that it looks amazing. Similar thoughts crossed Respawn’s mind as the developer announced a new game update which includes a new option to toggle your lightsaber, fixes a handful of bugs and includes a new Photo Mode allowing you to capture some glorious screenshots.
In order to use this new Photo Mode, you’ll have to enable it via the Setting menu. Afterwards, you’ll need to press a certain key combination (depending on a game platform) in order to call out a new menu with various features. In the menu, you’ll be able to position your game camera, turn on filters and do other kinds of photography stuff. The list of Photo Mode features is quite extensive, so if you’re interested, here’s everything you can do in-game:
- Camera Height
- Camera Rotate
- Zoom
- Tilt
- Focal Distance
- F-Stop
- Exposure
- Vignette
- Film Grain
- Chromatic Aberration
- Hide player
- Hide AI
- Filter
- Filter Strength
- Place Spotlight
- Remove Spotlight
- Spotlight Brightness
- Spotlight Warmth
- Hide UI
And here’s a video showing off some of these features in action:
However, if you’re not interested in renewing your desktop background with some pictures from one of the best looking Star Wars games ever, there are plenty of other reasons to get excited about the new update. As we’ve mentioned at the beginning of this article, Respawn is addressing player complaints regarding not being able to remove Cere’s switch from Cal’s lightsaber. Well, not anymore. The developers implemented a toggle that will allow you to remove this part of Cal’s lightsaber from within the customization menu.
As with every new game update, there are plenty of squashed bugs. If you’re interested to read through the full list of changes be sure to check out the official patch notes here.
