Some fresh new content is coming to GTA Online soon as Rockstar announced The Diamond Casino Heist going to the live game servers on December 12th. Apparently, it’s a complex new mission set in an already familiar location – The Diamond Casino and Resort.
The news was revealed via a new post on the Rockstar Games page. The reveal begins with a flavorful text setting up the scene for the new set of missions:
“Something’s up at The Diamond Casino & Resort. Patrons have reported seeing unusual security patrols on the casino floor. Penthouse owners are receiving cryptic text messages from the Cheng Family Holdings. Insiders have spotted unfamiliar blueprints on Agatha Baker’s desk, and visitors to their website are certain the intrusions there can only mean one thing: there’s a crew getting ready to take the whole thing down.”
The Diamond Casino and Resort opened its doors back in July where players got a chance to gamble away their hard-earned money. Those who lost a lot will now get an option to steal some of their money back, by carefully planning out the heist. Players will be tasked with infiltrating the casino, laying out their plan of attack and testing it in a few re-playable scenarios with an evolving narrative.
The success of the heist will depend upon your reaction to evolving circumstances. Some players might want to navigate through different, less-violent, options while some will want to rely on their weapons and brawl.
