Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is getting bigger. Recently, Ubisoft revealed the first free episode (out of three that are planned for Year 1) which adds a lot of new content for the game. DC Outskirts: Expeditions will come to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on July 23rd.
As the name suggests, the first episode will allow players to explore Washington DC outskirts and add two new missions. The new missions will continue the narrative of the base game. The first, Camp White Oak, will task players to attack the presidential compound “as they seek to bring the now-traitor President Andrew Ellis to justice”. The second one is called Manning National Zoo, where players will have to eliminate the leader of the Outcasts.
DC Outskirts: Expeditions will also include a new game mode called… Expeditions. This will be a new type of content that consists of three different areas. Those areas will be time-gated and should release on a week-by-week basis. After completion, players will get access to a special treasure room full of rewards for their agent.
In addition to new content, DC Outskirts: Expeditions update will also bring some long-awaited updates for overpowered weapons, skills and game’s crafting system. It should also add a new difficulty setting for the Operation Dark Hours raid.
However, it’s worth mentioning that only Year 1 pass holders will get access to the new content on July 23rd. If you don’t have it, you will need to wait an additional week until July 30th.
