The Game Awards 2020 show is nearing its debut. The annual and the most prestigious game awards in the industry are scheduled to be held online on December 10th. With less than a month remaining, Geoff Keighley had finally revealed all awards categories and nominees.

Surprise, surprise… The Last of Us Part II is leading the pack with 11 nominations including The Game of the Year award. We should also point to Hades (9 nominations) and Ghost of Tsushima (7 nominations) who also received a lot of praise throughout this year.

This year The Game Awards will also direct some of its attention to esports. The jury will be picking out Best Esports Game, Best Esports Athlete, Best Esports Team, Best Esports Event, and Best Esports Host
