Following the recent leak from Amazon, Ubisoft has now officially confirmed that the third Watch Dogs game will be called Watch Dogs Legion. The leaked Amazon UK description of the game detailed that Watch Dogs Legion is “a post-Brexit world in which society, politics, and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes.”
The leak was confirmed by the official Watch Dogs Twitter account which suddenly came to life updating its name, logo and cover photo. Additionally, a tweet followed confirming that the game will be revealed at E3.
The tweet also confirms another rumor which is related to the main character, or rather, the lack thereof. ‘God Save the NPCs’ indicates that players will be able to play as an NPC that you select. The same leaked description notes:
“Play as anyone, every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems.”
This sounds very interesting and we hope to see it in action on the E3 stage. Currently, there is no information regarding the release date or platforms for Watch Dogs Legion, but more details are sure to be revealed next week. Ubisoft’s press conference is scheduled for June 10th. You can check the time on our conference schedule post alongside other E3 events.
