There were a lot of rumors about the upcoming follow-up to Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Classic. Seems that these rumors had some truth in them since Blizzard accidentally and prematurely revealed World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic. The game was supposed to be shown during BlizzConline happening this weekend. And we can’t say it’s a surprise.

The leak was seen on Blizzard’s press page ahead of the game’s official announcement. Somehow, the company released BlizzConline 2021 press kit prematurely and spoiled the surprise for many old-school MMORPG fans. However, we haven’t learned much other than the fact that it’s happening. BlizzConline 2021 press kit only has a new logo for the game.

For now, we don’t know how this announcement will shape up. Whether World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic will be a separate game, similar to how World of Warcraft Classic was released, or whether the game will stay the same and players will get a few separate Burning Crusade Classic servers. We hope to learn this information in the coming days. For now, we just know that it’s happening.

If you’ve are an avid World of Warcraft Classic player but never played the sequel, you should know that Burning Crusade expansion raised the character’s level cap to 70, added 2 new playable races – Draenei and Blood Elf, flying mounts, PvP arenas, and a bunch of new colorful game zones in Outland, full of quests and secrets.

Apart from the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade Classic leak, it’s worth mentioning that that’s not everything that was found in BlizzConline 2021 press kit. There were also a few screenshots of the upcoming 9.1 patch announcement which will apparently be called Chains of Domination and will introduce a lot of new content dedicated for those who are still enjoying World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. There’s a lot of news regarding the update but we don’t want to spoil the fun of witnessing it online first hand. If you’re interested, be sure to check out this Wowhead link:

However, we have a fair warning. Blizzard usually doesn’t make mistakes like that and all of this news might be some kind of a twisted joke to misdirect the community. Nothing is for certain nowadays…

If you want to hear every announcement for yourself, be sure to tune in to the BlizzConline stream that will start in a few hours. You can find the stream over at BlizzCon’s page.
