World of Warcraft Classic has just recently opened its multiple gates, and an insurmountable amount of players rushed into the realm of nostalgia, memories, and new-old adventures! However, while such introduction claims nothing but the truth, there are some issues of which Blizzard has warned us all:
“Based on name reservations so far, the Shazzrah realm is looking to be massively overpopulated. If all existing players on this server remain there, login queues in excess of 10,000 players are a certainty, and possibly much higher than that.”
Blizzard’s predictions for overpopulation based on name reservations were not only true for Shazzrah, but literally for almost every server in WoW Classic, they are full! And full – or high – means good ol’ queue time! For some, it may take up to 3 hours, or even more to log in.
While Blizzard has already added quite a few new servers, they are hesitant to continue opening up even more new slots, for the goal is to create communities and spread out the player numbers on the existing realms first. According to the developer:
“Our top priority in planning for WoW Classic’s launch has been ensuring that we are laying the groundwork for strong realm communities that will endure over the months and years to follow, which is why we’re cautiously opening new servers to meet demand.”
And once you log in, the queues won’t end – they just change! Numerous twitter posts, streams, and videos have already depicted the unprecedented feats of communication and companionship shown by the community, as the those who’ve managed to log in are forming literal in-game lines to complete some important quests – one player at a time!
So, if you’re still waiting on World of Warcraft Classic’s login queue, we propose you two solutions! Either head to read some Classic’s guides or join over a million of viewers on Twitch that are – presumably in their queue time too – witnessing the greatness of the version to an MMORPG that has started it all!
