Fans of MMORPG games have been eagerly waiting for some news about WoW Burning Crusade Classic. With the game’s beta test coming to an end, Blizzard finally revealed its launch date which is scheduled for June 1st. We’re going to storm the Outland in less than a month!
However, prior this launch we’ll have to… prepare! On May 18th players with a World of Warcraft Classic character will have to make a choice whether to progress to Burning Crusade Classic, keep their accounts in the original Classic era. As soon as the choice is made and you are selected to further your journey into the Dark Portal a pre-launch event will begin. This will spawn multiple demons around Azeroth for you and your friends to defeat.
And on June 1st we’re going through the Dark Portal…
However, it’s worth noting that as with the original World of Warcraft Classic, Burning Crusade Classic will feature a few changes compared to the original. For example, raid tier release schedules will be changed in order to make Burning Crusade more viable to play long term while arena matchmaking systems should be more balanced.
The biggest change that split WoW’s community is the new level 60 boost that will allow players to boost one character per account in order to skip the journey before TBC. While WoW’s purists were annoyed about this one, most of the community who missed the days of old welcome the change, so they can skip original WoW’s content in order to hop right into Outland. At Blizzard’s shop players can order a separate level boost or just purchase a special digital edition which also includes a Phase-Hunter mount, a toy, and some game time.
In case you’re new to the genre or never heard about World of Warcraft before, you should know that WoW Burning Crusade Classic is a faithful recreation of the first World of Warcraft expansion. World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade expanded upon WoW’s original formula by adding 10 more levels, new Outland continent, numerous new quests, dungeons, raids and 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 competitive arena games. Back in a day, TBC expansion was praised by many as a worthy addition to the most popular MMORPG game on the planet, so if you missed the original release in 2007, you can prepare to enter the dark portal and relive the days of old.
WoW Burning Crusade Classic doesn’t require any additional purchase. You can play this game with a regular World of Warcraft subscription.
