What are point and click games?
In this kind of game, the player has to control a character through a simple interface, usually using a computer mouse or a similar pointing device. Though, there are some cases where additional control schemes are also available for this type of game. Point and click adventure games are for those players who like to immerse themselves in intricate and interesting stories and are not interested in deep gameplay mechanics found in other genres, such as RPG or action games. Due to the nature of the controls, such games are usually made for PCs, so make sure to check our Steam point and click (PC) titles!
How are point and click games played?
While playing this type of game, the player has to move a character by simply clicking on the spots. The interaction with the environment and other NPC characters, often initiating conversation trees with them, is done by clicking on them as well. This kind of game emphasizes the exploration of surroundings and examination of various objects found in the levels. Every found object is required for certain point-and-click puzzle games that the player has to solve in order to progress in the game. Tips on how to solve them can be found in item descriptions, in the environment, or when talking with other characters.
