Arrest Satan in Shotgun Cop Man, Demo Out Now

Devolver Digital and DeadToast Entertainment have released the demo on PC for Shotgun Cop Man, a chaotic precision-platformer with just one mission: Go to Hell and arrest Satan. The full game will also be available on Switch.

Devolver Digital is best known for titles like Enter The Gungeon and Cult of The Lamb, while DeadToast Entertainment is the creative mind behind My Friend Pedro.

To do this, players control the titular hero via his weapons: every blast doesn’t just obliterate demons, but also propels the player along.

“Whether dodging enemies, scaling walls, or leaping impossible gaps, your weapons are the key to both survival and traversal,” said Devolver on its official site.

You Have The Right to Remain Dead

Shotgun Cop Man is armed with weapons that will blast away anything from enemies to annoying hazards. He’s also capable of extending jumps by firing his pistol to stay airborne.

Players will have to destroy demons, stay clear of traps, and defeat bosses on their journey to face Satan, and bring justice to Hell.

Built With Players in Mind

Shotgun Cop Man might have an absurd style, but Victor, the solo dev behind DeadToast Entertainment, said in a press release that he wanted to make something that was mod-friendly.

“I made sure Shotgun Cop Man had its own level editor. In fact, all levels in the game are built with the same tool you, the community, will have access to in the full release.”

The full game will ship with 150 handcrafted levels, while the demo gives players a taste of the first 17, including a boss battle. Each of the demo levels also includes three challenge modes: race against the clock, finishing the level without taking damage, or take out all enemies. The full game also includes multiple Speedrun, No Damage, and Kill All challenges.
