Navigate The Underbelly of The Music Industry as a Band Manager in Rockbeasts

Set in 1993 when bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Guns N’ Roses, and Aerosmith were banging on the radio, Rockbeasts lets players assume the role of a manager tasked with leading a band to stardom, or selling them out for personal fortune and fame.

Industry acclaimed video game writer Jakub Szamalek brings Rockbeasts to life by providing the artwork, vocal performances accompanied by none other than legendary Iggy Pop, and of course the story itself.

“It’s been a long time coming, but we can finally show off Rockbeasts to the world. Since its initial conception, we knew this game would be different—our take on role-playing management gameplay with a dramedy twist and amazing music,” Lichthund and Team17 Digital, the two studios behind Rockbeasts, said in a joint press release.

Exploring Behind The Scene

The RPG includes more than 100 characters to greet and 90 locations to explore. Every decision made on behalf of the rock band will impact the journey for them and other characters too who hang around the scene. As band manager, it’s up to players to be honest or not.

As an added bonus, the game features 17 custom tracks, performed and mastered specifically for Rockbeasts. Music fans will notice that a lot of characters in the game will bear resemblance to their real counterparts and have similar names (Iggy Pup for example).

“We’ve put our hearts into every detail, and we can’t wait for players to jump in and create their own unforgettable stories. It’s time to party like it’s 1993.”

Lichthund and Team17 Digital

Lichthund started out as a two-man band in 2015 and has grown into a small group of industry heavyhitters with a focus on games that will bring a different take on player experiences.

Their counterpart on the Rockbeasts project, Team17 Digital, has been around since 1990 and has a portfolio of more than 120 titles, including the Worms franchise.
