Razer Launches Pre-Orders of New Gaming Laptops Razer Blade 16 and 18

Cutting-edge technology and engineering company Razer expands its product offerings with two gaming laptops: Razer Blade 16, specifically designed for portability and its chunkier relative Razer Blade 18 geared more towards performance
Both laptops are stuffed with popular gamer-tech from NVIDIA, and RGB-keyboards, while boasting a few special features that are new even for Razer.
“Meet our thinnest gaming laptop ever, redesigned for superior portability,” Razer said of the Razer Blade 16 in a press release. As for the Razer Blade 18, the company added: “Now with 2 Thunderbolt ports onboard, the Blade 18 gaming laptop is able to support more high-res monitors, expandable storage, and docking stations than ever before.”

Laptops are supposed to be portable and lightweight, so when one comes along that promises both of these things it’s hard not to sit up and take notice. The Razer Blade 16 is touted as being the thinnest gaming laptop in their product line, it weighs in at 0.59 inches in thickness, and 4.6 lbs light.
The Razer Blade 16 also features NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU and processors up to the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, meaning that gamers can experience over 700 games with realistic graphics, thanks to AI features such as DLSS 4.

By contrast, the Razer Blade 18 is a chunky beast that trades a light weight for serious gaming capabilities. It includes the world’s first 18 inch dual mode display, with UHD+ (3840 x 2400) 240hz and FHD+ (1920 x 1200) 440hz modes, that allow for 4K clarity and ultra-fast refresh rate for games, respectively.
The Blade 18 includes up to NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5090 GPU and an Intel Core Ultra 9 275hx processor (series 2). Gamers worried about melting their knees or desk with all this computing power can rest easy, according to the press release.
“Overhauled inside and out, the Blade 18 gaming laptop redefines heat management with a new thermal hood design, a massive 3-fan vapor chamber cooler, and improved thermal gel.”
