VoxRay Games Announces Voxile Early Access

It took years and eventually a $200,000 crowdfunding campaign to get Voxile (formerly Voxlands) ready for early access release on March 10, 2025. The studio specifically created in 2022 for developing the game, VoxRay Games, will build on player feedback to further expand on the game.
Voxile looks like Minecraft with modern weapons like rocket launchers. Still, Voxile is not a straight-up shooter game as there will be plenty of problem-solving in the game that won’t involve bullets. The company describes the game as an FPS RPG built from voxels with a focus on exploration.
“Bringing Voxile to early access is a major milestone for us. The real adventure starts now. We’re excited for players to jump in, explore, and help shape the game as it grows,” said Wouter Van Oortmerssen, founder at VoxRay Games.
Voxile Gameplay Features
Each world in Voxile is a self-contained island with its own rules and mechanics. They also have different missions. In some cases creativity will be required to solve environmental issues, in others it’s more advisable to mow down foes with various firearms, or blow them up with a grenade launcher.
Quests can range anywhere from saving a town from ooze to helping a cat down from a tree. The world editor will enable players to build their own worlds and quests and invite other players to explore them.
