Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition PS5 Disc Now Available
An integral part of American culture is about the long and lonesome road with the journey being more important than the destination. Covering a game map of more than 260,000 square miles and 6,000 miles of road, Alaskan Road Truckers: Highway Edition is designed to appeal to gamers looking for a driving simulator that embraces freedom.
Green Man Gaming Publishing, in partnership with Sidewalk Games and Road Studio S.A., announced on March 21, 2025 that a physical disc version of the trucking sim is now available for PS5 at major retail stores across the US and Europe, making players free to play whenever they feel like it.
“Travel the wilds of Alaska in a sprawling map as you battle a dynamic weather system,” the press release said. “Gear up and prepare for the journey ahead, with truck maintenance, emergency repairs and other challenges to contend with.”
Survive Outside The Rig
The Highway edition adds survival elements to the trucking sim by tasking players to balance personal wellbeing and the working conditions of the truck. Players will need to stock up on supplies, perform repairs, and battle the elements to make the haul to its final destination.
Stepping out of the rig presents another set of challenges, like clearing fallen trees in a blizzard, rapidly dropping body temperatures, and fatigue. On top of everything, there are mudslides and avalanches to contend with too.
The sim comes with six base trucks, two special ones, a dozen playable characters to choose from and lots of cosmetics for the rig to give it a personal touch.

Road Studio S.A. specializes in games around automotive and survival with Alaskan Road Truckers being its flagship title. The Warsaw, Poland-based, game development company is currently working on Road Trucker 2.
