Colorful Release New Budget Gaming Laptop

Colorful have released the X15 XS, the company’s latest gaming laptop that won’t break the bank. With an NVIDIA GPU, RGB keyboard and advanced cooling, the X15 XS should suit gamers looking for a decent blend of value and performance.

Colorful is one of the biggest tech brands in China, with the largest share in the country’s graphic card market. With links to top brands such as NVIDIA, Intel and AMD, Colorful has been making a name for itself in the laptop market by using older components to create robust and budget-friendly gaming devices.

“Building from the success of the X15 XS series gaming laptops, the latest model features a cleaner and simpler design and new packaging,” the company said in a press release.

“Whether you’re working on demanding projects, studying for exams, or diving into immersive gaming sessions, the X15 XS ensures smooth multitasking, responsive performance, and stunning graphics.”

Inside The X15 XS

Gamers looking for a mid-level laptop should do alright with the X15 XS, as it includes a reasonably powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU and Intel Core i5-12500H processor. The X15 XS has similar specs to other Colorful laptops, but this configuration does still allow for some fancy modern gaming touches like ray tracing and DLSS.

All of this is packaged in a classy mist gray chassis, with three USB ports, audio in and out, and supersized Storm Blade 2.0 Cooling Technology. Also impressive is the upgradable 16GB RAM and 512 GB SSD.

Other Specs

The X15 XS has a few surprises not typically seen in budget gaming laptops, most notably an antiskid, backlit RGB keyboard. The laptop also comes with a 15 inch screen at 1920 x 1080 resolution, and weighs 2.1kg. It’s ultra thin, too, at a depth of 22.7mm.

The X15 XS is available now and comes with Windows 11 Home installed, plus a built-in Control Centre to fine-tune performance.
