Get Ready For Keyboard Bashing in Infinite Onslaught This Summer

Indie game studio Bonkers Builders has announced the release of the demo of their latest creation, Infinite Onslaught, which is the first-ever “keyboard basher” game. Paying homage to retro games like Operation Wolf and Whack-a-Mole, this game may very well be the perfect stress reliever for frustrated gamers.

The first three levels of the shareware demo of the game are scheduled for release in June, 2025, followed by a full version some time after. Bonkers Builders are yet to reveal the pricing details of the full game, but said in a press release that they will be announced once there’s an official launch date.

The keyboard bashing is literally what it sounds like. As the game scrolls it’s up to the player to hit buttons on the keyboard which correspond to the position of enemies in order to hit them. While this is certainly a bit on the arcade Whack-a-Mole-esq approach to gaming, it’s not advisable to use an actual mallet on the keyboard, especially not when played on a laptop.

“The game offers a unique gameplay experience where players can shoot multiple enemies simultaneously, enhancing the traditional on-rails shooter formula with modern mechanics,” the indie game studio said in a press release.

Background Story Riddled With Cliches And Bullets

Main protagonist, Matt Johntrix, loses his entire team of commandos after being betrayed and led into an ambush during a covert mission. Of course, he immediately finds an arsenal of devastating weapons and seeks revenge in the most obvious fashion possible, shooting everyone and everything that shows up in waves on the screen

The game maintains a cartoonish look while sporting over-the-top violence – a common combination for many games played back in the days of the Amiga 500.

Keyboard Bashing at Its Finest

The makers of the game are excited to introduce players to their patent-pending keyboard bashing approach to gameplay. There’s no need to look at the mouse, mouse pad or controller for relief.

Players who get sick and tired from getting spawn killed in Call of Duty or Fortnite, and feel like venting their frustration and anger, will be happy to know that there’s a game you can beat by simply hammering the keyboard with your fists.

When multiple enemies swarm the screen, bashing buttons all over the keyboard is suggested as it’s possible to hit them all at the same time.
