Logitech Release Powerplay 2 Wireless Charging Station

Logitech G, the gaming-focused side of the renowned tech giant, has released Powerplay 2, a wireless charging station. It’s designed to provide constant power to a mouse, not just when it’s idle.
Gamers who know the pain of losing an online match because their mouse decided to die at just the wrong moment can rest easy, as the Powerplay 2 works while a game’s in session. Plus, Powerplay 2 is plug-and-play so there’s minimal set up.
“Powerplay 2 is the only wireless charging system that powers your play in motion. Compatible with a wide variety of Logitech G mice, it eradicates battery anxiety and keeps you in the game,” the press release said.
Compatibility
Whenever a new tech device is released, there’s always the question of just how compatible it is with existing equipment. This was enough of an issue in Europe that the EU forced Apple to standardize how its devices are charged, which came into effect in August last year. This ruling affected phone chargers, and will apply to laptops in 2026.
Charging mats are another device that this ruling affected, and the good news is that this kind of issue has been taken into account by Logitech. Players in the US can use the Powerplay 2 with any desktop or laptop with a USB 2.0 port.
Keep Playing
The Powerplay 2 can be set up with the minimum of fuss. Just plug it in, put the accompanying Coin inside a mouse, and get playing. The mouse will then be charged wirelessly the whole time it’s in contact with the pad, which is also a gamer-friendly 13.54 inches long and 11.18 inches wide.
Logitech also refers to the Powerplay 2 as being “future-ready,” in terms of which mice it works with: “Powerplay 2 remains flexible and works seamlessly with upcoming and current compatible Logitech G mice.”
