January 25th, 2019 is the day that marks a return of a legendary game in it’s new, and very much improved coating. Resident Evil 2 Remake offers a modern twist on Capcom’s 1998 classic and while it is a remake, it is not a rework, meaning that bits and pieces of the story and the gameplay have been altered to improve on the few flaws the original game had and to make the best possible use of the powerful RE engine.
Graphics
The very first thing you will notice in the Resident Evil 2 Remake, especially if you’ve played the original game before, is just how far have game graphics come over the last two decades. While it is no surprise that the game looks significantly better now, it must be noted that the graphics are astounding even by today’s standard. The detail of both the playable characters and the enemies, along with the surroundings is incredible and will sometimes even make you feel a little bit uncomfortable, due to the game feeling too real. If you’re looking for a graphical standout, buy Resident Evil 2 Remake and you won’t get disappointed!
Sound Effects and Music
If there’s one thing that adds to the life-like feel of the game more than graphics, it is the sound effects. You will be able to hear the zombie footsteps from a floor above or them trying to make their way through a locked door. The gunshot sounds change in accordance to the environment, as shooting inside will cause echo’s that will make you feel as if you were actually there. The in-game music only adds to the survival-horror drama in Resident Evil 2 Remake and also offers up a unique concept – the dramatic music does not mean that something dramatic is about to happen, which makes it even harder to anticipate when the horror is about to hit!
The Story
The storyline, much like in the original game, follows the two main characters in their separate stories. One thing is different, however, and it is the fact that the two stories are not as intertwined and are actually happening mostly in separate timelines, with one acting as a prequel to the other. This means that by getting yourself a Resident Evil 2 Remake key you’re not paying only for better graphics and sound, you do also get a whole new experience with it, as the main storylines are also accompanied by characters of somewhat lesser significance providing their point of view.
All in all, the game looks like it will soon become a true revolutionary in gaming and now you have a chance to dive right into it and experience the greatness first hand!
